QuMat Receives a Support of 1.6 Million CHF from the Werner Siemens Foundation
The Werner-Siemens Research Center for Molecular Quantum Systems, at the University of Bern headed by Prof. Shi-Xia Liu, is to receive a support of 1.6 million CHF from the Werner Siemens Foundation to establish an innovative instrumental platform that combines imaging techniques with atomic precision, and spectroscopy as well as transport measurements of the highest accuracy – all under ultra-high vacuum conditions and down to the millikelvin range. This unique apparatus will place the center at the forefront of research into the characterization of superconducting topological molecular qubits, based on the molecular concept developed by the W. Inäbnit Laboratory at the DCBP.
