Research In our research we apply theoretical electronic structure methods, mainly density functional theory, to investigate transition metal oxides. Main research topics are: Functional quantum materials The role of defects for material properties Surface chemistry and properties of complex transition metal oxides and oxynitrides Defect chemistry under external strain, electric and magnetic fields
