The general focus of our research is on the mass spectrometric characterization of nucleic acids and their therapeutically relevant analogues. Besides elucidation of the gas-phase behavior of oligonucleotides, we use mass spectrometry as a tool to gain insight into nucleic acid higher-order structures and their interaction with anti-cancer metallodrugs. Further research activities aim at a comprehensive characterization of spider hemolymph and venom components.
