The "Fachschaft für Chemie, Biochemie und Pharmazie" (FCBP) is the association of students and assistants in biochemistry, chemistry and pharmacy of the University of Bern. The FCBP is part of the "Studierendenschaft der Universität Bern" (SUB) and according to article 5 of the statutes of the SUB, the FCBP is a "öffentlich-rechtliche Körperschaft".
The FCBP represents the interests of its members against the lecturers and university bodies. It shall also support its members during their studies and foster contact among each other.
The current transactions are taken care of by a board that consists of representatives from all semesters and who meet three times a semester. During each semester a general assembly of all members is called at which the board accounts for the current transactions and fundamental decisions are taken.
